Keeping the main leash on you

When take-off / landing from a still point, the ideal is to keep the main (yellow) leash on, during navigation. There are several advantages to this:

  • Allows you to free yourself from the constraints of the tide. Depending on the height of the water, it is possible to use a first still point for takeoff and a second one for landing.

  • The main leash can be usefull in case of a problem to tow a board or rider in difficulty, to furl a kite, etc.
